Some years after this holiday arrives in the United States, brought by the pioneers, and is accepted as a tradition, handling all the details above. It was a celebration of small groups of Catholic faithful, which is enormously popular with the arrival of the Irish around 1840. It was they who added "Jack-o-lantern" (the hollow pumpkin with a candle inside), as they had a legend of Jack (John) whom he banned entry to heaven, and also to Hell (nobody stood ), and walking with a flashlight, which was a hollow cabbage with a burning charcoal indoors (Bon had given him the Devil himself!), looking for ways to enter any of the two clubs. The gringos were more practical and instead of cabbage use a pumpkin that is easier to ahuecar. The party, however, did not begin to be held en masse until 1921. That year was the first Halloween parade in Minnesota and then followed other states. The internationalization Halloween occurred in the 80's thanks to the television series. Successes of the small screen as "Roseanne" began to devote a chapter each year to convert Halloween pumpkin smiling in a picture as well known as Coca-Cola. Today Halloween is one of the most important dates in the calendar festive estadounidenense and Canada.
